I see a theme developing… this blog is becoming a catalog of lighting design fails…
I visited a post office locally, as many folk do… Behind the counter they used to have 3 halogen downlights lighting up the wall… 3 nice cones of light making a bit of a feature and barely noticeable to the customer, Someone in their wisdom has installed 3 of my least favorite  “integrated” downlights in their place  – with their 120 degree spread of piercing LED lightsource … the trouble being they are now just above eye height for the customer who now has to deal with 3 points of glare screaming at them from behind the shop assistant. It really doesnt help them sell stamps.
I as a regular customer of that post office am thinking of alternative places i can post my parcels…
Segway to lighting design… what i do for a living, help folk identify what their lighting issues really are and to recommend appropriate fittings for them to install that will compliment their business, their office, their home… the number to call 1300 550 566
